Taking control of our lives, is something, we have all been told to do. Of course it is viewed as wise counsel. No one strives to be out of control. We aspire to be in control of every aspect, including our children’s lives. For some of us it doesn’t stop there. We have to control everyone’s lives that we connect to. I believe there is another side of this taking control ,that may be robbing us of our peace. The world often gives advice, contrary to what the word of God teaches.

In Math. 16:24-27, Jesus says, "he who loses his life for my sake finds it". He was speaking on surrendering, giving ourselves to Him. That means we give up the need to know how it’s all going to work out.Trusting that, as Psalms 91:1 says, he who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. David goes onto say in verse 4-5, he will cover you with his feathers and you shall not be afraid of the terror by night. Philippians 2:13 also states that, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. We should be so surrendered to Christ that our will, is His will, trusting that all things are working together for the good of them that love Him. Give up and surrender to Christ, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth.
